The NW Highland Cattle Association is now on facebook!
We are now represented on facebook with a closed group, which means that the public can see our group and its members, but only members of our group can see our posts. In time, this site will replace the Members Forum as we attempt to keep up with the latest technology. If you don't have a facebook account you will find that it is easy (and free) to get started. Check it out!

NW Highland Cattle Association members gather at the May 21, 2011 Spring Meeting at Cascade Highlanders in Redmond Oregon.

.

Spencer and Robin Tabor
welcome members to beautiful
Cascade Highlanders in Redmond.

Members arrive in the morning for
coffee and conversation; Cheryl,
Amy, and Deanna visit on the porch

Agronomist Gary Bishop discuses
sustainable farming; the versatile
Plotmaster gets lots of attention.

We had sandwiches of naturally
raised beef from Cascade
Highlanders for lunch. Delicious!

Butch Rogers shared irrigation
tips; we toured the pastures to
see a successful system in work.

Spencer and Robin introduced us
to several fold members; a young
cow grazes among the wildflowers.

The silent suction raised funds for
the coming year thanks to the
generosity of our membership.

Congratulations to Tom and Deanna
Newton for submitting the most
popular image in the photo contest.

President Tom Newton led the
general membership meeting;
an uninvited guest showed up.

Dinner was outstanding! Highland
prime rib was expertly prepared
by Outdoor Chef Kurt Ploetz.

Members enjoyed the afternoon sun
while dining and visiting; some of us
only see each other once each year.

We had a wonderful time at
Cascade Highlanders; thank
you Spencer and Robin!
